Our Eco homes

Using natural materials as well as our unique TimberSlab system we create breathable building structures that are highly insulated.

The construction of these houses have a significantly lower C02 footprint compared to traditional methods using concrete and brick.

Our homes are factory cut so onsite assembly is rapid and accurate. Perfect for the predictable British weather.

We work to a fixed price per m2.

Our pricing page covers how much your home will cost and how we can offer a fixed price. Our approach is unique in the industry and we think you will like it’s simplicity.

Benefits of ground screws

Our use of screw piles and our TimberSlab makes us ideal for building on difficult sites. Maybe you have been told by your structural engineer you need to use screw piles? Or maybe you are building an eco home and have heard about the benefits of screw piles, Bear Haus can offer the answer.

We are specialists at building on typically ‘difficult’ sites.

  • Maybe you’ve experienced collapsing trenches before or been advised to use piles after a soil test. We’ve frequently been asked to intervene in foundation recovery.

  • Water authorities have strict requirements for foundations on, near or over their adopted sewer systems. Our piling system meets these requirements so build over agreements are straightforward to arrange and have minimal impact on your project.

  • Piles are the preferred method of building foundations near trees. They are less disruptive to existing roots and allow the roots to continue growing as the base is elevated above ground.

  • Screw piling requires less heavy machinery, minimal digging and no concrete. We can build homes using screw piles with less disruption to the natural environment and in sites that have limited access.

  • Using speciliast screw piles we can build precision foundations off sloping hills and uneven ground without the need for excessive excavation.
